Corrections Policy
Last Updated: July 2, 2026
We publish quickly about a fast-moving industry, and despite layered verification we will sometimes get things wrong. When that happens, we fix it visibly. Quietly rewriting history is not an option here.
Reporting an error
Email corrections@appstackinsider.com with a link to the article and a description of the issue — ideally with a source supporting the correction. Every report is reviewed by a human editor.
How we correct
- Factual errors (wrong number, date, name, attribution): we correct the text, update the article's "updated" date, and add a correction note describing what changed.
- Material errors that undermine the article's core claim: we correct prominently at the top of the article, or unpublish it entirely with an explanation if the story cannot stand.
- Minor issues (typos, formatting, broken links) are fixed without a correction note.
Timing
We aim to act on verified factual errors within 48 hours of a report. Developing stories are updated as new confirmed information appears, with the update reflected in the article's date.
Updates vs. corrections
An update adds new confirmed information to an accurate article. A correction fixes something we got wrong. We label the two differently and do not disguise corrections as updates.
